Answer people on WhatsApp from your own website, with your team and your rules

Suggested plan: Business with the setup service

For companies, public bodies and banks that run a WordPress website. Your organization’s own WhatsApp number works through Meta’s official WhatsApp Cloud API: one inbox for your team, menus that answer the common questions, announcements to people who agreed, and the records stay in your own website’s database. WooCommerce is not needed.

Requirements: WordPress 6.0 or later, PHP 8.1 or later, HTTPS. WooCommerce 7.0 or later only for the store features.

Sound familiar?

What service teams in larger organizations tell us.

“The same questions, all day”

Opening hours, branch locations, the documents to bring, how to follow up a request. Each one takes a person away from harder cases.

“The chats live on one employee’s phone”

When that person is on leave or moves on, the conversations and the number go with them, and nobody can see what was said.

“Where do the messages go?”

Your IT or compliance team wants to know where conversations are kept and who can read them, before anything goes live.

A common question answered, and a request passed to the right person

Khalid writes to Raya Insurance about a car claim. Everything here comes from one automation built on the Automations screen; no person was needed until the last step.

  • Khalid’s first message opens Raya’s menu
  • He picks “Documents for a claim” and gets the list at once
  • An “Ask a question” step saves his request number for the team
  • “Talk to an advisor” hands the chat to the claims team, with a notification on their phones
  1. Khalid

Hello, what do I need for a car claim?

  2. Raya Insurance · button: Choose

Welcome to Raya Insurance 👋 How can we help you today?

  3. Khalid

    Documents for a claim

  4. Raya Insurance

For a car claim, please have: the police report, photos of the damage and your driving licence. What is your request number?

  5. Khalid

    R-20817

  6. Raya Insurance · button: Talk to an advisor

Thank you. We saved request R-20817 for our claims team.

Four moments where it helps

The plan name shows the smallest plan that includes it.

Common questions, answered at any hour

Pro plan and up

A menu with up to 10 choices: opening hours, branches, required documents, how to follow up. People can tap a choice or type its name or number.

A request with its details

Pro plan and up

An “Ask a question” step saves the answer, such as a name, an e-mail or a request number, and “Notify the team” sends it to your staff. Do not ask for card numbers or ID numbers in a chat; the builder warns you.

A person takes over

Pro plan and up

A button, or words like “agent” or «موظف» from any step, hand the chat to your team. Automations then pause in that chat, for 12 hours by default or until your team marks it done.

An announcement to people who agreed

Business plan and up

Send an approved template, such as a service notice or a change of hours, to contacts who agreed, and see who received and read it.

Built for an organization’s way of working

Records on your own server
Chats, contacts and automation answers are kept in your WordPress database, not on our servers. WordPress’s own tools export or erase one person’s data on request.
Consent, with its history Business plan and up
Who agreed, when and how, and who asked to stop. A “stop” or «إيقاف» message stops announcements by itself.
Your team, on their phones Pro plan and up
The inbox app on each staff member’s phone, with saved replies, notifications and “done” when a chat is finished.
Account health In every plan, from Starter up
Your daily messaging limit, quality rating, template problems and what Meta charged, read from Meta and explained.
Connection Doctor In every plan, from Starter up
Checks every setting between your site and Meta and tells you in plain words what is missing.
Calls log Pro plan and up
WhatsApp calls to your number are listed, with an alert for a missed call, so someone can call back.

What it does not do

So your team can decide with the full picture.

  • No separate agent accounts yet. The inbox is used with WordPress administrator accounts. There is no assignment of a chat to one employee and no permission levels inside the inbox.
  • No ticketing or CRM link. It does not create tickets, connect to your CRM or measure response times.
  • No call answering. Calls are listed with missed-call alerts; your team calls back from a phone.
  • No certifications. We do not claim compliance with any regulator’s, bank’s or government standard. The plugin’s code is on your server, so your security team can review it before use.
  • WordPress only. It is a WordPress plugin. It does not run on other website platforms.

What it does: your own number on Meta’s official WhatsApp Cloud API, a team inbox, menus and questions that answer by themselves, announcements to people who agreed, and records on your own server.

Good to know

Meta facts as of 31 October 2026.

Business verification

Meta asks you to verify your organization in its business portfolio. It can take some days, and it raises how many people you can message first each day.

The number

Use a number that can receive an SMS or a call and is not in the WhatsApp app. Once it works through the Cloud API it leaves the WhatsApp app.

What Meta charges

Meta bills your own WhatsApp Business account for each delivered message, at its rate for your customer’s country. Since 1 October 2026 that includes messages inside the 24-hour customer service window: Meta charges nothing for the first 1,000 replies each month on each WhatsApp number, then charges its service rate. Utility templates sent inside the window are charged at the utility rate. When a customer writes from your click-to-WhatsApp ad and you answer within 24 hours, Meta charges nothing in that chat for up to 7 days. Eligible government and non-profit organizations pay nothing for these replies, even after the first 1,000, until 31 December 2027. We add nothing on top. See Meta’s pricing page.

Questions from organizations

Do we need WooCommerce?

No. From version 2.9.1 the inbox, automations, campaigns, contacts, calls log and account health work on any WordPress site. Order messages and cart reminders appear only when WooCommerce is active.

Where are the conversations stored?

In your own WordPress database, on your hosting. Messages travel through Meta’s WhatsApp Cloud API, under Meta’s terms. Our server only checks your license and offers updates; it never sees your conversations or contacts.

How many employees can answer?

As many as you need. Each one uses the inbox app with a WordPress administrator account, and each phone with notifications on gets them.

Can we keep our current number?

Yes, if it can receive an SMS or a call. It then works through the Cloud API and leaves the WhatsApp app on the phone.

Can you set it up with us?

Yes. With the setup service we connect Meta and the plugin together with your team in one session, by video call.
